If you are a U.S. Citizen and you wish to bring your spouse to U.S. you will file for an Immigrant Visa for a Spouse of a U.S. Citizen (IR1 or CR1), but may obtain the Nonimmigrant Visa for spouse (K-3) while awaiting the Immigrant Visa.
The spouse of an U.S. citizen applying for a nonimmigrant visa (K-3 applicant) must have an immigrant visa petition on his/her behalf by the U.S. citizen spouse.
Unmarried children of the spouse may accompany them using the K-4 Visa.
K-1 Visas are available for fiancees of US Citizens who plan to be married within 90 days from the time when they first enter the US.
Unmarried children of the fiancee may accompany them using the K-4 Visa.
Spouses and children of Legal Permanent Residents may be eligible for the V Visa.
